Companies and organisations are invited to sponsor Queensland’s most prestigious training awards. Sponsors will not only enjoy many exclusive benefits, but they will also play an important role in helping to create the skilled workforce of the future.

The Queensland Training Awards are held in six regions - Brisbane, Central Queensland, Gold Coast, North Queensland, South West Queensland and Wide Bay Sunshine Coast - with winners then competing for a state title.

Seven of the categories are held at a regional level. These awards are:

Apprentice of the Year
Trainee of the Year
Vocational Student of the Year
School-based Apprentice or Trainee of the Year
Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year
Small Employer of the Year
Employer of the Year

A further four categories are awarded at the state level only:

Public Training Provider of the Year
Private Training Organisation of the Year
Skilling for the Future Award
Premier’s Innovation in Skilling Award

Sponsors are still sought for the state final presentation only.

Target Audience

The Queensland Training Awards attract nominations from individuals, employers and training providers as follows:

School-based apprentices and trainees

Organisations with training programs
Training providers – both public and private
Individuals and organisations who have implemented a training program/initiative
