Nominations have closed for the 2012 Queensland Training Awards

The 2012 Queensland Training Awards are now closed. All nominees will be advised of the status of their nomination in writing by June 2012.

Individual and employer awards will first be contested at a regional level with winners then competing for the state titles alongside organisations at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre on Friday, 14 September 2012. Each state award winner may have the opportunity to apply for the Australian Training Awards held in Melbourne on Friday 16 November 2012.

Australian Training Awards

The National Focus categories are part of the Australian Training Awards and recognise outstanding contributions of individuals, schools, business and organisations that have a significant impact on the vocational education and training sector.

The 2012 categories are:

  • Australian Apprenticeships - Employer Award
  • Community Pathways to VET Award
  • School Pathways to VET Award
  • Skills for Sustainability - Educational Institution Award
  • Leadership in Quality Award.

Besides these five awards, the Australian Training Awards also have the International Training Provider of the Year Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award.
